Absolutely every screen must be calibrated to create image values that are as close to reality as possible, which reflects our demand for image quality. Whether LED home cinema screen, projector or display, each device comes to the customer from the factory with different characteristics and representable color space. Using professional measurement technology, these devices can be calibrated and adjusted accordingly. For this purpose, we exclusively use professional equipment from the large cinema sector, such as the Qualif Spectro, in order to record and adjust values as precisely as possible. Only in this way can we achieve an optimal result for you.

Audio calibration — the other half of the experience:

A perfectly calibrated image without equally precise audio calibration is only half the result. ARLED Cinema calibrates complete home cinema audio systems using Trinnov Audio processors — the industry reference for room correction and immersive audio alignment.

Audio calibration covers speaker level matching across all channels, delay alignment for every listening position, room correction to compensate for acoustic reflections and room modes, crossover optimisation between main speakers and subwoofers, and bass management for Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D, and DTS:X configurations.

Every room behaves differently. Even identical speaker systems sound different in different spaces — because the room itself is part of the audio chain. Our calibration process measures the acoustic response at every listening position and applies corrections that transform the room from an unpredictable variable into a controlled, neutral environment. The result is a soundstage that is wide, deep, and precisely localised — exactly as the audio engineer intended.

Why factory settings are never enough:

Every display device ships with settings optimised for bright retail environments — not for a darkened screening room with controlled lighting. Without calibration, colours are oversaturated, whites have a blue or yellow cast, shadow detail is crushed, and the image rarely matches what the content creator intended. Calibration corrects all of this systematically, using measurement data rather than subjective adjustment.

For Barco and Christie laser projectors, calibration is especially critical — these are professional cinema devices with a colour gamut and dynamic range that can only be fully realised when the image chain, from source to screen, is precisely aligned. The same applies to the ARLED SIRIUS LED Wall, where per-pixel calibration and colour temperature uniformity across the full screen surface require specialist knowledge and equipment.

Home cinema calibration is the single most important step between installing a display and actually seeing what it is capable of. Every projector, LED wall, and display leaves the factory with compromise settings designed for showroom brightness — not for accurate, reference-level image reproduction in a dedicated screening room.

ARLED Cinema uses professional spectrophotometers and calibration software from the commercial cinema sector to measure and correct colour accuracy, white balance, gamma, and tone mapping for each individual display. The result is an image that matches the director’s intent — with accurate skin tones, correct black levels, and a colour gamut that matches DCI-P3 or Rec. 2020 as closely as the hardware allows.
