Barco Residential’s Freya+ projector is based on Barco’s well-known Series 4 platform. Freya is the wife of Odin, the most powerful god in Norse mythology and the mother of Balder. That alone should be enough to understand the power of this projector.
At the heart of the projector is Barco’s renowned Pulse platform, which when combined with Alchemy (ICMP) results in a very intelligent and easy to use projector. The Barco Freya+ is designed exclusively for high-end home theaters, with more contrast and a wider color gamut, on par with our reference projector Barco Thor. It features the latest native 4K DLP® chipsets from Texas Instruments and the highly acclaimed Barco Alchemy Integrated Cinema Media Processor (ICMP)

Architectural Integration: With Barco Residential, seamless integration into the room is at the forefront, underpinned by Barco’s “hide everything but the picture” philosophy. The Barco Freya+ can be installed in a variety of configurations.
High-end factor: Barco Freya+ combines media server features with the latest cinema processing electronics: Barco Alchemy Integrated Cinema Media Processor (ICMP) with 2 x HDMI inputs (2.0a and HDCP 2.2). The Barco Freya+ offers advanced processing power combined with media server functionality, integrated playback and content management. Barco Alchemy enables screening of 4K 2D content at 60fps and 4K 3D at 30fps. The reduction in required hardware simplifies installation and makes the system more reliable and user-friendly. The Barco Freya+ is also the first DCI projector certified for risk group 2.
